But there are moments when our affection for the stories, heroes, and worlds we love grow even larger and more robust, and when those over-the-top instances coincide with Halloween? It feels like something pretty darn magical is afoot.
L.A. Comic Con is landing at the Los Angeles Convention Center over the haunting holiday weekend, and thousands of creatively minded attendees will arrive rocking some incredible cosplay looks.
Those who aren’t in an outlandish outfit will also be in the celebratory swing, too. There’s no need to costume-up, if you haven’t got anything eye-catching to wear; you’re invited, and tickets are available for purchase on the site.
Highlights include the ever-massive Gaming Hall, trick-or-treating for kids, the Official Haunted After Party, and Akiba Station, an anime wonderland brimming with shopping, “photo-worthy experiences,” and incredible art all around.
As for the mondo-major-oh-wow names on the “appearing this weekend” banner? Nicolas Cage will be there, Rosario Dawson, Giancarlo Esposito, Aaron Paul, and Hayden Christensen, too.
