PlayStation has revealed the first look at a new lineup of PS5DualSense controllers. The fresh lineup features a rare and breathtaking pattern.
The PS5 Prism Collection features three striking transparent designs for DualSense wireless controllers and PlayStation 5 console covers. The three color options are Flare Orange, Emerald Green, and Graphite Gray.
The new collection was inspired by the design team’s desire to give the PS5 a transparent appearance. Each color features a premium glossy finish, giving the controllers and console covers a sleek look, according to the official PlayStation blog.
PS5 Prism Collection: release date, prices and pre-order details
Players can pre-order the PS5 Prism Collection from November 10, 2026, ahead of the official launch on February 4, 2027. The Prism Collection DualSense wireless controllers will be available globally for $84.99.
As for the transparent PlayStation 5 console covers, they will be available exclusively from PlayStation for $74.99. Players can pre-order the Prism Collection directly from PlayStation through its official website. In other regions, they will be available in limited quantities through select retailers.
Leo Cardoso and Satoshi Aoyagi, members of PlayStation’s Color, Material, and Finish design team, shared more details about the creative process behind the new designs. Cardoso revealed, “We know how much our fans have been looking forward to the return of transparent controllers. We wanted to bring back the iconic see-through trend of the late ’90s in a fresh, modern way that complements the PS5’s industrial design.”
The high-gloss clear finish extends across the back of the controller, maintaining a sleek, monochromatic look. Aoyagi added, “The metallic finish on the middle cover brings the contrasting surfaces together for a premium appearance that feels consistent with the PS5 generation.” It’s revealed that the three new colors were carefully chosen to complement a futuristic aesthetic.
