Chinese developer NUTAYU has announced Xing Su (CN: 星溯, official English unavailable), an anime-style action RPG currently in development for PC, iOS, and Android. The game is scheduled to release for PC in China in the first quarter of 2028, followed by iOS and Android versions in the second quarter of the same year. A trailer showcasing the game’s visuals and action was recently unveiled
Set in a world where the cycle of life and death has come to a halt, you play as a “Guide” who awakens in some ruins. Seeking to repair the cycle of reincarnation, you fight alongside a group of superpowered allies against various enemies, which include mechs, beasts, as well as opposing humans that appear to have skills similar to yours.
Based on the announcement trailers, the game puts heavy emphasis on melee combat with a mix of parrying and dodging enemy close-range attacks and projectiles. Your party consists of up to three characters, each with unique skills and ultimate abilities. Aside from dealing raw damage, your offensive options also contribute to breaking enemies’ stagger gauges, which can be found just below their health. Enemies become defenseless when the gauge is depleted, providing opportunities to hit them with normal attacks and contextual cinematic moves.
The initial character designs are quite unique and range from fully humanoid characters to kemonomimi and even anthro/kemono designs.
While the game’s initial marketing is predominantly in Chinese, a Japanese trailer featuring full voice acting is available, suggesting a Japanese launch is also likely planned. The main protagonist is voiced by Kurumi Orihara (known for voicing Tamako Yashiro in Red Cat Ramen), with Saran Tajima (who voices Koito Fukumaru in The Idolmaster Shiny Colors) also on board.
Xing Su is currently in development for PC, iOS, and Android.
