‘Bleach’ is now part of anime history. It’s not that it wasn’t before, but now it literally is, after bringing to a close a journey that began 22 years ago and went through a long hiatus that made us think we’d never see the animated adaptation of Tite Kubo’s work come to an end. Fortunately, ‘Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War’ arrived to bring the story to a close in the most epic way possible, with a total of four parts and exclusive content that didn’t appear in the manga. It is, therefore, the definitive version of ‘Bleach.’ Episode 50 has taken a ten-year leap forward in time to show us what life is like for Ichigo and the rest of the characters.
An ending that takes us ten years into the future
‘Death & Strawberry’is the title of the final episode of ‘Bleach,’ which adapts the last two chapters of the manga. The epilogue takes place a decade after the battle against Yhwach and introduces a new generation of captains of the Gotei 13, also known as the 13 Squads. Among them is Rukia as captain of the 13th Division, with Renji as her lieutenant.
‘Bleach’ announces the definitive air date for the anime’s final episode
The creator of ‘Bleach’ sets a date for a major announcement hinting at the return of the manga
In a scene where Ichigo and other characters gather to watch Chad’s professional boxing match, we learn that the protagonist has married Orihime and that the two have had a sonnamed Kazui. The same is true for Rukia and Renji, who have a daughter named Ichika. Ichigo’s son can not only see spirits, but he also quickly learns to handle spiritual pressure. The anime concludes with the three worlds at peace, though we’ll have to wait and see if any kind of sequel is announced in the near future.
