Glee Is Coming Back on Disney+ and Hulu: Cast, Release Date and Where to Watch the Original
Disney+ and Hulu gave a series order to a Glee reboot on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. It comes from 20th Television, the studio behind the original Fox series that ran six seasons from 2009 to 2015. As of October 24, 2026, Disney has not announced a premiere date, a full cast, a trailer or an episode count.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy has said he wrote the reboot script with original co-creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, and that he had been in touch with “around 10 of the original cast members.” Variety reports Lea Michele is returning as Rachel Berry. Deadline reports Heather Morris (Brittany) and Chord Overstreet (Sam) are in talks to come back.

The original cast also included Chris Colfer, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Matthew Morrison, Dianna Agron, Amber Riley, Darren Criss and Jenna Ushkowitz. None of them had been confirmed for the reboot as of October 24. Colfer has said publicly that a reboot would be hard without the late Naya Rivera.
