Reality TV star Anika Rashaun, who appeared on both The Real World and The Challenge, has died. She was 34.
Her friend Cyndi Rich confirmed the news on Facebook: “Anika lived her years fully with a stacked calendar, juggling all her dreams, invites from friends, and always showing up. Anika was meeting everyone she could, traveling (but also living) across the world, taking on jobs (often multiple at once), and never settling for anything less than she deserved. I miss the 4 hour (not exaggerating) phone calls, her amazing advice in every situation, and planning our weddings together.”
Rashaun was cast on The Real World: Bad Blood in 2016 and, in 2017, The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions.

She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in the summer of 2025, another friend, Tiara Ramos, wrote on Substack.
“Her diagnosis was a shock,” Ramos recalled. “Despite her mother having breast cancer years earlier, she was never identified as high-risk or told by her doctors to prioritize mammograms. That was one of the many failures she experienced within the medical system during her time battling cancer.”
She explained that the two had been the closest of friends for decades.
“Having someone who knew me so deeply, so intimately, someone I could be my absolute worst self with and still be loved by, gave me a sense of connection I could never fully explain,” Ramos wrote of her “fiercely loyal and loving” friend who was always “unapologetically herself.”
Ramos said Rashaun had “moved to Thailand without knowing a soul, appeared on reality TV not once but twice, went skydiving on a first date with a random guy (“do it for the plot”), and started creating her own businesses from the time she was a little girl.”

Rashaun discussed her health with Ramos, who’d received the same diagnosis, in an October 2025 episode of their podcast, Breast Friends Forever: BFFs Battling BC.
“Have your annual doctor’s appointments,” Rashaun said. “Don’t be afraid of going and getting your annual check-up. If something is off, advocate for yourself and continue to figure out what that is, because you don’t want to be in a space where it may be too late”
Rashaun posted Feb. 27 that she had married Kyle Rehn.
