The fandom fever is back as Maruti Suzuki presents Kochi Comic Con powered by Crunchyroll, scheduled for January 30–31, 2027, at Adlux International Convention Centre. Comic Con India, a subsidiary of NODWIN Gaming, continues to take fandom beyond metro cities and creating spaces where communities can come together, express themselves and celebrate the stories and characters they love.

Shefali Johnson, CEO, Comic Con India, said, “Kochi has always been a city where different cultures, communities and stories come together. From its history as a port city shaped by Portuguese, Dutch, British and Chinese influences to its rich artistic and cultural landscape, the city has always embraced different forms of expression. In many ways, that is what Comic Con is all about too, bringing together different fandoms, creative communities and ways of storytelling in one space. We are excited to return for the second edition and build on the energy with an even bigger celebration of fandom.”

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director, NODWIN Gaming, said, “Kochi is a city where tradition and contemporary culture coexist seamlessly. From its legacy as a historic port and cultural hub to platforms like the Kochi-Muziris Biennale that have placed the city on the global creative map, there is a strong culture of curiosity and cultural exchange here. Our first edition reflected that spirit, and the response from fans reinforced the opportunity to build a larger pop-culture community in Kochi. We are excited to return and make the second edition an even more memorable experience for fans across Kerala.”

With Comic Con’s second edition coming to the city, it offers a strong platform which encourages people to proudly showcase their love for pop culture. The inaugural edition of Kochi Comic Con brought this vision to life, welcoming over 20,000 fans and creating a vibrant space for communities across comics, anime, gaming, music, movies and cosplay to come together. The debut also featured internationally acclaimed comic book creator Dan Parent, alongside a packed programme of fandom experiences and entertainment.

Kerala’s rich storytelling tradition, deep-rooted love for cinema and growing engagement with global entertainment make it an exciting market for pop-culture experiences. Comic Con brings together different forms of creative expression in one space, giving fans across the state an opportunity to connect over shared interests while discovering new ones.

The two-day celebration will feature an exciting mix of panel discussions, live performances, cosplay competitions, stand-up comedy, musical acts, gaming experiences, immersive brand activations and more, bringing fans closer to the worlds and communities they love.

With its return to Kochi, Comic Con India continues its journey of making fandom more accessible across the country, creating platforms for communities beyond the traditional metros to connect, create, express and celebrate together.
