Hundreds flocked to see superheroes, movie cars and cosplay as Maidenhead Comic Con returned for the second time this year at Braywick Leisure Centre.

Organisers Bolt Events said the team had a ‘fantastic day’ at the event, which attracted 900 people on Sunday.

The celebration of ‘all things Comic Con’, brought together fans, families, cosplayers and local businesses.

Visitors enjoyed attractions, including Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters. Guests also enjoyed browsing trade stalls, character appearances, interactive displays, and the ‘ever-popular’ cosplay competitions for infants, children, teens and adults.

The event was attended by Royal Borough deputy mayor Helen Taylor, who helped judge the cosplay competitions.

“The standard of costumes was incredible, and she certainly had some difficult decisions to make,” organiser Zoe Crofts, said.

“We were really pleased with how the event went. It was lovely to see so many families enjoying themselves, and the atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic. At Bolt Events, our aim is to make Comic Con accessible, affordable and enjoyable for the whole family, with plenty of activities included in the admission price.

“We are already looking forward to returning to Maidenhead next year.”
