Trading card, collectibles shop set to open in Cohoes

N.Y. (NEWS10) — Albany County will soon have a new hub for fans of all things trading cards. Higgnation, a card and collectibles shop in Cohoes, will be celebrating their grand opening on October 24

The new store will carry an array of trading card singles, sealed products, and game accessories, with an emphasis on Pokémon. The business will also host trade nights and card tournaments, allowing players to grow their collections and engage with other enthusiasts in a casual setting.

“This has been a dream of mine for a very long time, and it’s finally come to life,” Higgnation owner Matthew Higgins said. “A new adventure is on the horizon. Trainers, collectors, and Pokémon fans — get ready. Your next chapter starts here!”

Higgnation is located at 301 Ontario Street in Cohoes. Saturday’s grand opening, which will feature special deals and raffles, is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
