NH Studioz has partnered with LG Electronics to launch five free entertainment channels on LG Channels in India. The collaboration will offer Bollywood films, classic Hindi cinema, music, Tamil movies and devotional programming to viewers using compatible LG Smart TVs.
Mumbai-based entertainment company NH Studioz has announced a partnership with LG Electronics India to expand its presence in the connected television market. Under the collaboration, five dedicated channels, NH BollyFlix, NH BollyGold, NH BollyRaga, NH Tamil Gold and NH Namo, will be available through LG Channels, the company’s free streaming service.
The launch is part of NH Studioz’s expansion into Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST), a model that allows audiences to watch scheduled programming without paying a subscription fee.
Unlike conventional on-demand streaming platforms, FAST channels offer continuous programming, similar to traditional television, but are delivered through an internet connection.
The five channels will cater to different entertainment preferences, drawing from NH Studioz’s extensive film and television catalogue.
NH BollyFlix will focus on contemporary Hindi cinema, featuring films such as Pink, October, Kabir Singh and Anjaana Anjaani.
NH BollyGold will bring classic Bollywood films to audiences, including Sholay, Anand, The Burning Train and Gol Maal.
NH BollyRaga will showcase Hindi film music, featuring memorable songs and compositions associated with legendary artists such as R. D. Burman and Lata Mangeshkar.
NH Tamil Gold will offer Tamil cinema across generations, featuring films associated with stars including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Dhanush and Vijay.
NH Namo will focus on devotional and spiritual entertainment, with programming including Ramayan, Shree Ganesha and Om Namah Shivay.
Speaking about the partnership, Shreyans Hirawat, Head of Film Business & Innovation at NH Studioz, highlighted the company’s efforts to make its content library accessible through newer technologies.
“At NH Studioz, we have always believed that great content never loses its audience, it simply finds new ways to reach them,” he said.
He added, “Our partnership with LG marks another significant leap towards accomplishing this vision. We are not merely taking our library to new platforms; we are creating new destinations for audiences to rediscover the magic of Indian entertainment.”
Established in 1980, NH Studioz holds a catalogue of more than 5,000 films across over 15 languages. The company operates in film rights licensing, content acquisition, syndication and distribution, with a presence across more than 140 countries.
Brian Jung, Director, Media Entertainment Solution, LG Electronics India, said the partnership reflects the company’s focus on making Bollywood entertainment more accessible to connected television viewers.
“India’s audiences have always had a deep affinity for Bollywood content, and we are committed to bringing that experience to Connected TV viewers in the most accessible way possible,” he said.
Jung also noted that LG Channels offers more than 150 free channels covering movies, entertainment, music and regional programming.
The partnership adds to NH Studioz’s existing FAST distribution presence across platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, JioTV, Airtel Xstream, TCL, Swift TV and RunnTV.
With the addition of five genre-specific channels, NH Studioz aims to introduce its film catalogue to more connected television households while offering viewers a subscription-free alternative for discovering Indian entertainment.
