PS Plus members are reminded not to renew their membership and to turn off auto-renewal ahead of November 2026. Like previous years, existing members may be locked out of the biggest annual PS Plus discount during Black Friday.
As we’ve reported before, Sony only seems to offer PS Plus discounts to new or returning members whose memberships have expired. Current members often get a discount only when the company wants them to upgrade from Essential and Extra to a higher tier.
We expect Sony’s Black Friday 2026 deals to go live around November 23 at the latest (they typically go live a week before Thanksgiving), which means those who renew their memberships now or in the coming days may not be able to claim a PS Plus discount if Sony offers one.
If you’ve already renewed your membership, we suggest turning off automatic renewal now to avoid Sony considering you an existing member.
We’ll update our readers when we have more information about PlayStation’s Black Friday deals for this year. In the meantime, keep an eye on our PS Store deals tab for some fantastic discounts.
