Xbox has revealed the <a href="https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2026/10/21/cloud-playtime-now-available-to-test-with-xbox-insiders/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>pricing for the cloud gaming limits on Game Pass, announced last month.
Referred to as cloud playtime packs, launch pricing is 10 hours for $3.99, 25 hours for $7.99, and 50 hours for $11.99.
These packs offer ad-free cloud gaming with shorter wait times and high-quality streaming. Playtime remains available until it’s used.
Xbox Insiders who don’t have a Game Pass subscription can currently preview the pricing options before they roll out in November. They can also try ad-supported game streaming, which Xbox began testing earlier this year.
Xbox noted that “availability, purchasing options, eligible games, and cloud gaming options may vary by market, device, account eligibility, and preview ring.”
As announced last month, Game Pass Essential will be limited to five hours, Premium to ten hours, and Ultimate to fifteen hours.
The decision was made due to “the cost of providing cloud gaming grows as more people use it and play for longer.”
“Moving to monthly limits allows us to keep offering the service while continuing to invest in its reliability and performance. We understand that for some players the practical result is a higher cost.”
Yesterday, reports suggested that Xbox is planning an overhaul of Game Pass.
This could include the ability for players to select “add-ons for console-only games, cloud gaming, and multiplayer, with the system operating on a tiered structure.”
