Commissioned by the Digital Security Authority, the immersive game asks children to think, react and decide.

Children are no longer just being told about the risks they face online. They are being placed inside them. A new Virtual Reality game developed by CYENS for the Digital Security Authority (DSA) asks schoolchildren to make their own decisions when confronted with online strangers, misinformation and threats to their personal data.

Third edition of the Cybersecurity for ALL Festival

The Cybersecurity for ALL Festival returns for the third consecutive year, inviting children and adults to discover cybersecurity in a fun and accessible way.

The event is designed for all ages, with a particular welcome for children and parents. Interactive activities, hands-on experiences and games are planned for the whole family.

A game commissioned by the Digital Security Authority

The educational Virtual Reality game on cybersecurity and online safety was developed by CYENS for school children, commissioned by the Digital Security Authority.

Through an immersive and playful experience, children are introduced to common risks they may encounter online and are encouraged to make safe and responsible choices.

    Topics covered in the game

Interactive challenges address four main areas:

    • Cyberbullying
    • Online strangers and grooming
    • Fake news and misinformation
    • Protection of personal data

    Learning through decision-making

Rather than simply presenting information, the game places children inside different scenarios where they must think, react and make decisions. Digital safety is learned through active participation and play.

The experience combines VR technology, storytelling, animated characters and game-based learning. The aim is to make complex cybersecurity topics more accessible, engaging and memorable for a young audience.

    Design and production work

The CYENS 3D Software Development Team handled the project from concept to completion. Its work covered concept development, scriptwriting, asset design and voices, as well as graphic design and illustration.

The team also carried out 3D modelling and texturing, 3D animation and asset optimisation for VR. Its responsibilities extended beyond the game itself to booth design, 3D rendering and sticker designs for children.

    Development team

The game was developed by the CYENS 3D Software Development Team and ITICA.
