“I thought it was just a stinger when I hit the ground,” Bo told the newspaper. “Once I got up I knew something was wrong. When I got to the sideline, I really knew something was wrong.”
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a rep for Bryan.
The American Idol judge and his wife since 2006 are also the parents of 16-year-old Tate.
Bryan, who’s 49, told PEOPLE in January just how important it is for him to be a good dad.
He credited his family with giving him perspective and helping him to “keep it real.”
“They’ve grown up in this lifestyle, so when I get off the road, they really don’t care where Dad’s been,” Bryan said. “They want to go hang with Dad, go get in the woods or do stuff like that, and that keeps me grounded.”

In 2023, Bryan explained that he was teaching Bo how to get behind the wheel.
“He’s very frustrated right now because he thinks he knows how to drive, but he has no idea what he’s doing,” Bryan told PEOPLE. “He thinks because he can operate a four-wheeler or Polaris that he is quite proficient, but he is not, I assure you.”
He also noted just how much he loves being a dad.
“As they grow older, it’s easier to let them tag along,” Bryan said in July 2021. “They become little men and they become functional little microcosms of me. Their personalities are really different… They become your buddies. I mean, they’re still your kids, you still have to do the discipline and you still have to teach them the right and wrongs of life, but they really morph into your buddies.”
