[Let’s Talk] What would you like to see from Nintendo Switch Online?

Believe it or not, Nintendo Switch Online is almost a decade old. The service started out slowly, but over time, has added many different elements to make it more appealing.
Initially, Nintendo Switch Online only offered NES games. That has since expended to the SNES, N64, GameCube, Game Boy and Game Boy Color, GBA, Virtual Boy, and SEGA Genesis. There have also been Nintendo Switch Online titles like F-Zero 99 and Tetris 99, the addition of Nintendo Music, introduction of GameChat, and more.
With Nintendo Switch Online coming up on a big milestone, it’s time to reflect a bit. Is there anything in particular you’d like to see from the service? Let us know in the comments.
Highlights from last week’s topic: What are you playing? – October 2026
I managed to finish some games like Darksiders 1, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, No More Heroes 2 and the DLC from Fire Emblem Three Houses.
So now this month I plan to play Resident Evil 4 Remake, Darksiders 2 and Jedi Fallen Order on the XSS, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn on the Wii, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Persona 4 Golden, Metroid Prime 4 and Prince of Persia Lost Crown on the Switch and Monster Hunter Stories on the 3DS, but many times I end up playing different games, what I don’t lack is options
Currently finishing off Future Redeemed after spending the last two and a half years playing the mainline Xenoblade games. Just started Stellar Blade on PS5 and once I stopped trying to play Bayonetta I started enjoying it a lot more. And I just unlocked the Bottomless Buffet in Splatoon Raiders and got absolutely destroyed my first time out.
I’ve been bouncing back and forth between Splatoon Raiders, TLoZ: Tears of the Kingdom, and Donkey Kong Bananza. I should be able to finish the first and last ones soon, as I’m on the final stretch of one (but I will also be doing the Bottomless Buffet after the main game) and on my way to the Final Rehearsal on the other. This week was Splatoon Raiders week.
As for October, I will be working in some spooky games. Games like Mina the Hollower, Castlevania games from the modern collections (I left off on the GBA titles last year), and maybe even some of my survival horror games like Resident Evil, Tormented Souls, etc. 🙂
On the topic of Castlevania, the brand new game will be an absolute must, especially with it being billed as a direct sequel to Dracula’s Curse. (Which it is, timeline-wise, with Rose being the child of Trevor and Sypha)
I wish I could say I was playing Fortune’s Weave with fervor & enthusiasm.
But the Metroid Ravenous trailer has been stuck in my brain so hard, I went back to Dread. This time, with the intent to clear Hard Mode under six hours so I could complete the Ending Gallery. And as of 10/03/26, five years overdue, I have completed Metroid Dread! I’m still in a Metroid mood so I wonder if I’ll be able to shift over to Fire Emblem or do I complete Prime 4 with a Hard Mode run there?
Xenoblade 2. I finally got over a nearly two-decade-long hurdle and finished the first one, just in time to snag a physical copy of the second game with the Switch 2 fixings.
I just beat sprawl zero, that game is lit totally recommend, it’s like a ps2 era fps that just dropped a few weeks ago. Aside from that I’m nowhere near the end of trails in the sky 2nd or fire emblem also onimusha has been beating me like I owe it money
Just finished Digimon Story CS – Hacker’s Memory. It was a fun game, but nothing amazing.
Currently playing Final Fantasy V (Pixel Remastered) and it has been really fun thus far. I’m going to the Meteorites right now.
I’m also playing Mega Man 8 (Legacy Collection 2), but it seems like it will be my least favorite game from the classic Mega Man.
Well Dweller. Great Metroidvania, highly recommend so far.
Fortune’s Weave. Doing Cai’s route first.
