VisionQuest has brought renewed attention to an earlier Marvel series on Disney+. Led by Paul Bettany, the new miniseries was released on October 13, 2026, and received positive reviews.
According to FlixPatrol, WandaVision ranked among Disney+’s top 10 shows as of October 15, 2026. The show began the interconnected story that continues through Agatha All Along and VisionQuest.
The first episode of VisionQuest begins with a recap of WandaVision. Bettany’s new television series focuses on White Vision and his journey to discover his own identity and purpose.
How VisionQuest and WandaVision connect through Paul Bettany’s Marvel journey
Bettany is one of the MCU’s longest-serving cast members. Bettany first voiced J.A.R.V.I.S. in Iron Man before making his physical debut as Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The superpowered synthezoid became a key member of the Avengers and a central figure in Wanda Maximoff’s story.
Thanos killed Vision to obtain the Mind Stone during the events of Avengers: Infinity War. By then, Wanda and Vision had fallen in love. After Vision’s death, Wanda’s grief led her to create the Hex around Westview in the WandaVision show. Within the Hex, Wanda created a version of Vision and had two sons, Tommy and Billy.
Over the course of WandaVision, Wanda confronted her grief over Vision’s death. However, losing her sons continued to haunt her and contributed to the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In WandaVision, S.W.O.R.D. recovered Vision’s body and rebuilt it as White Vision, who is central to VisionQuest.
Although Wanda believed her children were gone, their souls had been reborn in new bodies. Billy’s soul came to inhabit William Kaplan’s body, while Tommy’s soul was reborn in Thomas Shepherd. Agatha helps Billy explore his identity in Agatha All Along, while Tommy’s story is expected to connect with Vision’s in VisionQuest.
VisionQuest is streaming on Disney+. The show has already aired two episodes, and the next two episodes drop on October 20, 2026.
