There are 18 traits that you can unlock and apply to your character in Anime Zero. These traits give you passive benefits in combat, augmenting your character’s combat capabilities. Given that there are 18, not all of them are going to be the same, with some being better choices. Here, we have constructed a tier list highlighting the best traits that you should go after while playing Anime Zero.
Best Traits in Anime Zero – Tier List
Here are the different tiers and the traits associated with each ranking.
| All Trait Tier Ranks in Anime Zero | |
|---|---|
| Tier Rank | Traits |
| S-Tier | Deadeye Ferocity Sniper Supernova |
| A-Tier | Focus 3 Fortune Hunter Overkill Power 3 Swift 3 Razor Focus |
| B-Tier | Focus 2 Power 2 Swift 2 Vitality |
| C-Tier | Focus 1 Power 1 Swift 1 |
S-Tier Traits
| All S-Tier Traits in Anime Zero | ||
|---|---|---|
| Tier | All Bonuses | Reasoning |
| Deadeye | 20% Damage 5% Critical Chance 50% Critical Damage |
With Deadeye, you receive a boost to your overall damage and your critical hit damage. You only receive a small critical chance upgrade, which is a small bonus. Still, the overall damage increase is the true highlight here. It’s close to Supernova, but depending on what you highlight for your character, this could be better. |
| Ferocity | 18% Damage 8% Cooldown Reduction 14% Attack Speed +2 Walk Speed |
For Ferocity, you’ll get an almost equal damage increase, with a cooldown reduction for your abilities, and an attack speed boost. These are great if hitting your foes multiple times is your goal, along with using your weapon’s abilities. You also get a small boost in your walk speed, which is more of a nice add-on. |
| Sniper | 12% Critical Chance 15% Critical Damage 8% Attack Speed |
Sniper is another entirely combat trait, with more of a focus on critical hits. With this, you get an increased critical hit chance, critical damage, and slightly higher attack speed. It’s a mix between Ferocity and Deadeye, but slightly lower than both of them. Although it does have lower stats, it’s still exceptionally solid, and worth keeping. But we’d rank it on the lower end of S-tier. |
| Supernova | 24% Damage 12% Cooldown Reduction 20% Attack Speed +3 Walk Speed |
On the higher end of the S-tier rankings, we have Supernova. You’ll get the biggest increase to your damage and attack speed, along with a sizeable cooldown reduction. This is an ideal trait for someone who doesn’t want to increase the chances of hitting a critical hit or the damage, but wants their baseline damage and abilities to be the heavier part of a build. It also grants a small boost to walking speed, as a nice add-on. |
The S-tier Traits are the best options you can get in Anime Zero. We’d rank Supernova and Deadeye as the top two, but Ferocity and Sniper are still solid. What makes Supernova and Deadeye great is the damage bonuses you get with them. Ferocity is slightly lower than these as it’s extremely similar to Supernova, but it doesn’t offer the same bonus numbers. Supernova is the top all-around option for everyone.
A-Tier Traits
| All A-Tier Traits in Anime Zero | ||
|---|---|---|
| Tier | All Bonuses | Reasoning |
| Focus 3 | 10% Cooldown Reduction | You don’t get too much with Focus 3, only a cooldown reduction. For those who rely on abilities, this is decent, but on the lower side of the A-Tier for traits. It’s the strongest of the Focus traits. |
| Fortune | 25% Coins 20% Experience Points 20% Drop Rate |
Although Fortune does not provide a combat benefit or boost to your stats, you do have an improved chance to get better loot, more experience points, and additional coins. These are always good to have, and having this on your character can be great if you’re looking for more equipment or materials while grinding through missions. |
| Hunter | 10% Damage 5% Cooldown Reduction 10% Attack Speed +1 Walk Speed |
You get a good amount of bonuses with Hunter. Think of it as a weaker Supernova, but the same mindset applies. Your damage and attack speed go up, as does your cooldown reduction. It’s a reasonable choice if you’re looking to increase your overall damage in combat, but don’t expect too many critical hits. Still, a great choice, putting it on the higher end of A-tier, with a small bonus for your walking speed as well. |
| Overkill | 40% Critical Damage | Overkill is a massive boost to your critical damage if they hit. The boost is great, putting it in A-tier, but with no increase to your critical chance odds, it only works if you happen to have it trigger. |
| Power 3 | 8% Damage | Power 3 is a simple damage boost buff. It’s nice and appreciated, but it doesn’t do much else. It’s the strongest of the Power traits. |
| Swift 3 | 12% Attack Speed +1 Walk Speed |
Swift 3 gives you an attack speed buff, but nothing else. It’s the strongest of the Swift traits. |
| Razor Focus | 13% Critical Chance | Razor Focus gives you a 13% critical chance, which is always nice. You don’t get much else from it, but the chance of potentially having more critical hits can make a dangerous adversary. We’d put it in the middle of the A-tiers. |
The A-tier traits are great options. Many of them vary from each other, with Fortune being one of the better options, along with Hunter, Power 3, and Overkill. Focus 3, Swift 3, and Razor Focus are slightly lower, and still good, but we don’t think they quite stack up to the other A-tier choices. Fortune is one of the more unique traits, as it’s the only one that increases your drop rate and how much experience you get. When you’re finished with leveling, though, toss out Fortune, unless you’re trying to go after a particular type of material.
B-Tier Traits
These are the traits we put in B-tier, and they are slightly above the lowest rankings.
| All B-Tier Traits in Anime Zero | ||
|---|---|---|
| Tier | All Bonuses | Reasoning |
| Focus 2 | 7% Cooldown Reduction | You get a 7% cooldown reduction to your abilities. Better than rank 1, but not as good as rank 3 for Focus. |
| Power 2 | 6% Damage | You get a 6% increase to your overall damage, which is always appreciated in combat. It’s better than rank 1, but not as good as rank 3 for Power. |
| Swift 2 | 9% Attack Speed | You get a 9% increase to your attack speed with this trait. The attack speed boost is nice, better than rank 1, but not as good as rank 3 for Swift. |
| Vitality | 25% Maximum Health Boost | Vitality provides a 25% increase to your maximum health. It could help you withstand stronger battles, but damage is always a superior buff, which is why this Rare trait is in the B-tier. |
The B-tier traits are decent, but they are very much middle-of-the-road choices. They’re going to be better than anything you can get in C-tier, but not quite A-tier. These have a decent chance of appearing and could help you with early leveling, but make sure to visit the Enchant vendor to get new traits to try and aim for an A-rank choice.
C-Tier Traits
These are the traits we placed in the lowest ranking.
| All C-Tier Traits in Anime Zero | ||
|---|---|---|
| Tier | All Bonuses | Reasoning |
| Focus 1 | 4% Cooldown Reduction | The lowest-ranking Focus provides a small cooldown reduction for your abilities. |
| Power 1 | 4% Damage Increase | The lowest Power trait gives you a small boost to your power. |
| Swift 1 | 6% Attack Speed +1 Walk Speed |
The lowest Power trait gives you an increased attack speed and a small walking boost. |
These are the lowest-ranking options because they have a good chance of appearing on your character, but they don’t offer much. These are baseline options that you should go with if you have no other buffs on your character. Rerolling for a new option with these is always a good choice, though.
