Following news on Epic Games’ upcoming Star Wars game, Halo: The Master Chief Collection gets a two-punch knock-out of a mod collab.
You may have seen earlier this month that Halo: The Master Chief Collection was blessed with Halo: Project Reclaimer.
This launcher is a complete overhaul that’s led to some unreal possibilities, like over 100 players inHalo: Reach’ multiplayer and 64 players in Halo 3.
Turns out you can combo it with the previously released Battlefront Pack for Halo: Reach, which adds loads of maps and weapons inspired by the Star Wars Battlefront games.
The official Battlefront Pack X account recently shared gameplay of both mods in action saying “The Battlefront Pack with 100 players is INSANE.”
In the video we see some enormousbattles being waged on planets like Hoth, complete with vehicles like speederbikes and AT-ATs.
According to first-hand experiences Project Reclaimer works seamlessly with the modpack. Hardly any tinkering with settings or files is required.
The results are truly remarkable and if you’d like to join in on the fun the Battlefront Pack is available now.Halo 3 also has its own version if that’s more your speed.

We’d take this over Epic Games’ AI Star Wars game any day of the week
In more negative news Epic Games is working on a new extraction shooter that’ll involve both Star Wars and Marvel characters.
The company is no stranger to either IP as we’ve seen characters from both stars in various seasons of Fortnite. It’s also no stranger to AI either, as many will remember whenDarth Vader was added as an AI-powered NPC. It seems like that was the start of something horrible.
New details from the company have confirmed that going forward it’ll be promoting more AI-generated content than ever. According to Bloomberg Epic Games developers have been told to avoid “hand-written code.”
This bold, new approach to making video games is to be tested with the upcoming Star Wars/Marvel shooter game, which has also been delayed internally.
Communications Director Jake Jones told Bloomberg: “We’re embracing AI-accelerated development, led by Epic developers who are the visionaries and creative drivers for everything we do.”
It’s a shame, it really is. Gamers around the world have been vocal about the use of AI in game development. Even renowned developers like Larian Studios have come under fire for using AI during Divinty’s early planning phases.
Even if AI doesn’t appear in the final product gamers are prepared to boycott games even remotely supported by the tools, making this upcoming Star Wars game a risky venture on all sides.
Unfortunately, this whole thing is just one big red flag for the future of gaming. At least projects like the Battlefront Pack and Project Reclaimer are around to give us hope in these trying times.
