Comic Con India has just announced that its maiden edition in Punjab, Jalandhar Comic Con, has been hit with a delay and will be scheduled for February 27-28, 2027.
The event was supposed to take place on November 21 and 22, 2026. The venue remains unchanged and will still take place in the Lovely Professional University (LPU) Campus, Jalandhar.
Comic-Con India said they delayed the event because “creating the best possible experience for fans remains the top priority…. The additional time will allow the team to bring together a more immersive celebration of comics, anime, gaming, cosplay and pop culture, while giving fans the experience they truly deserve.”
As of right now, ticket sales for the event have been put on hold by the Comic Con team. About the people who have already bought tickets to the event, Comic Con India said that their team is “working on the best way to facilitate their transition to the rescheduled dates or process refunds.”
The ticket sales are expected to reopen 90 days (December) before the new date for the event. Comic Con India said they will continue to share more updates about the event through their social channels and the website.
Shefali Johnson, CEO, Comic Con India, said, “Comic Con has always been about bringing people together to celebrate the fandoms and stories they love. As we prepare to bring Jalandhar its first Comic Con, our priority is to ensure that fans get an experience that truly reflects the scale, energy and spirit of Comic Con India. We thank our fans and partners for their understanding and patience, and look forward to welcoming everyone to Jalandhar on February 27–28, 2027, for a celebration of everything pop culture, community and fandom.”
Meanwhile, readers can also check out other upcoming Comic Con events, including Comic ConNavi Mumbai, and Delhi.
