As part of Gamescom’s opening night livestream, Activision’s Raven Software showed off a new look at Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s campaign. An extended gameplay sequence shows off a mission called “Most Wanted”. In this mission, players infiltrate a compound with the goal of rescuing their own people from a dark location in Washington, D.C.
As previously announced, Raven Software developed Black Ops 6’s campaign, with Treyarch responsible for the multiplayer and Zombies elements, as well as Activision’s global studio network.
Black Ops 6’s campaign takes place in the 1990s, when the Cold War was coming to an end. Call of Duty characters Frank Woods and Russell Adler return from past Black Ops games, and are joined by newcomers Troy Marshall and Jean Harrow. Like other Black Ops games, the story involves uncovering a “baffling conspiracy” across the globe.
Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25th, but players can try the beta starting on August 30th. announced.
