Bunnings has unveiled a new $2 collectible range following the success of last year’s keychain bears.
The mystery box shoe charms quietly landed across stores nationwide recently, with six Bunnings-inspired designs to collect, including one “rare” item.
Justine Mills, Bunnings’ director of marketing and retail media, told Yahoo Lifestylethe products “give customers another way to collect, share and trade with family and friends.”

“Following the positive response to our Mystery Box Mini Bears, we’re excited to bring that same sense of fun to our new limited-edition Mystery Box Shoe Charms,” Justine said.
The tiny charms are designed to add “a little Bunnings personality” to footwear, such as Crocs, but can also be attached to drink bottles, pencil cases and accessories.
The six designs include a Bunnings Warehouse logo, a hammer logo, a tradie hoodie, a straw hat, and a bucket, and the rare one.

There’s approximately one rare charm in every 12 boxes.
But you won’t know which one you have until you open the box.
It’s part of a trend popularised by the Labubu dolls, with brands across the country and around the world jumping on mystery boxes.
Woolworths had huge successes with its Ooshies collectibles range earlier this year. There were 40 toys to collect, and some shoppers went to multiple stores and even spent more just to get their hands on the packets.
Many shoppers will keep buying the boxes or toys until they complete the set, and they’ve become massive social media sensations.
This Yahoo Lifestyle reporter recently picked up two charms for $4 and found them to be adorable.
But the element of surprise was arguably better than the product itself.
Some shoppers, however, are buying much more than just two.

A Sydney mum filmed herself buying nearly 10 during a recent trip to Bunnings, and she wasn’t alone.
“It only took me buying 15 to collect the whole set. Pretty happy with that,” said one.
“I bought three and I don’t have Crocs to put them on,” added another.
Bunnings mystery box bears fly off the shelves and sold online for much higher prices
In December last year, Bunnings’ Mystery Box Mini Bears were an instant hit among shoppers.
There were five to find: Team Member, Rain Poncho, High‑Vis, Straw Hat, plus a rare ‘Secret’ Bear, priced at $12.50.
They came as keychains you could attach to your keys or handbag.
The range was so popular that Bunnings launched a new set in July, but in just 24 hours, they appeared on eBay due to the hype at much higher prices.
One was listed for an eye-watering $265, but Bunnings told Yahoo Lifestyle at the time that there is no reason to pay that much as there was plenty of stock in stores.
