Los Angeles enters the NLCS looking to capture its third consecutive World Series championship after eliminating the Atlanta Braves in four games during the NLDS. The Dodgers swept Milwaukee in last year’s NLCS and will look to continue that postseason dominance behind a star-studded lineup featuring Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman. However, the Dodgers face a difficult challenge against a Brewers team that won 103 regular-season games and secured home-field advantage throughout the series.
Milwaukee is hoping to flip the script after last October’s disappointing elimination. The Brewers defeated the San Diego Padres in four games to reach the NLCS, setting up another showdown against their familiar postseason rivals.
Christian Yelich, Jackson Chourio, and William Contreras will be important pieces of Milwaukee’s offensive attack as the Brewers attempt to take an early series lead at American Family Field. With the National League’s two best regular-season teams going head-to-head, Game 1 promises to set the tone for a competitive best-of-seven series.
