The best-of-seven between baseball’s top two teams begins Sunday as the Dodgers visit the Brewers in Milwaukee.
Game 1 of the National League Championship Series features an epic starting pitching matchup. The home team will send out Jacob Misiorowski, who has been the most dominant pitcher in the majors this year, against the Dodgers’ Tarik Skubal, who won the last two AL Cy Young Awards.
Games like this are why the Dodgers added to their embarrassment of riches by acquiring Skubal from the Tigers at the trade deadline. The left-hander has been phenomenal in his postseason career, posting a 1.97 ERA and allowing two runs or fewer in six of his previous seven starts while working at least six innings each time — an October rarity these days.
On the other side, The Miz was mediocre by his standards in his lone postseason start to date, allowing two runs in four innings in Game 1 against the Padres while striking out “only” six. But American Family Field will be rocking for the flamethrower Sunday as he and the Brewers look to keep rolling against the two-time defending champions.
It’s a must-watch matchup in Milwaukee. Here’s everything you need to know to tune in to today’s League Championship Series action.
