- Expansion brings over 250 localised English titles from J-Novel Club, Square Enix, and Yen Press – PLUS – beloved action manga from VIZ Media coming soon
- Manga is already a core part of anime fandom: 69% of anime viewers surveyed across 11 markets read digital manga monthly or more, while Crunchyroll users were 1.4 times more likely than non-users to read digital manga weekly.
Available as a premium add-on to Crunchyroll’s streaming service and included as a member benefit with an Ultimate Fan membership in select countries†, Crunchyroll Manga offers unlimited, ad-free reading across mobile, tablet, and web, with offline reading, full two-page spreads, personalised reading lists and curated recommendations, and the ability to move seamlessly between manga and its anime adaption on Crunchyroll. (In India, Crunchyroll Manga is only available through an Ultimate Fan membership rather than as a separate add-on.) The service is powered by Link-U Group, one of Japan’s leading digital manga service developers. Crunchyroll recently announced a minor investment in the Link-U Group.
“For years, fans have asked us to bring manga closer to their Crunchyroll experience, and we are excited to make that a reality for more fans around the world. Anime and manga are deeply connected, and bringing them together gives fans more ways to discover the stories, characters and worlds they love,” said Asa Suehira, Chief Content Officer, Crunchyroll. “Expanding into new territories and languages is an important step toward making Crunchyroll an even more complete home for anime fans everywhere.”
Since debuting in the US and Canada in October 2025, Crunchyroll Manga has grown its library to more than 450 titles from premier publishing partners including AlphaPolis, COMPASS, J-Novel Club, Kodansha, MobileBook.jp, Shueisha, Square Enix, Titan Manga, VIZ Media, Yen Press, and more.
