Best-selling games in the U.S. for August 2026 – Nintendo Switch 2 boosts Elden Ring to the top 10, Big Walk makes the list

Circana has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of August 2026.
Sports games have always been popular in the states, so it’s no surprise that NBA 2K27 and Madden NFL 27 lead the way. They take up the top two spots.
Elden Ring was previously at 41 last month. But boosted by the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, the game is now at #7. We also see Mario Kart World and Splatoon Raiders on the list.
