    • Coven Academy, a new Disney+ TV show, has quickly become a global streaming hit, surpassing popular series like Loki and Bluey Compilations in rankings.

    The new Disney+ TV show has become a streaming hit days after its premiere. The show’s magical and supernatural themes have drawn comparisons to series such as Harry Potter and Wednesday.

    Coven Academy has quickly climbed Disney+’s global TV rankings Based on their latest streaming data from October 5, 2026, the series ranked No. 1 among all TV shows on the streaming platform worldwide, earning 711 points

    The show’s performance is higher than other Disney+ hits like Loki, which took second place, and Bluey Compilations, in third. Other shows on the list include American Horror Story Official Podcast, Scrubs, Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, High Potential, Africa Earth’s Wild Home, Adults, and Outlander: Blood of My Blood. These titles rank fourth to tenth, respectively, on FlixPatrol’s streaming data list.

    What makes Coven Academy Disney+’s breakout fantasy hit

    Coven Academy was created by Tim Federle and has 21 episodes. From these, Aprill Winney directed nine episodes, Shannon Kohli directed six episodes, Alexis Ostrander directed three episodes, and Amanda Row and Federle directed one episode each.

    The official synopsis reads, “In the haunted heart of New Orleans, follow three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magic boarding school where power is currency, secrets are lethal, and attraction is a liability. Caught between ancient supernatural wars and forbidden love interests, the coven must decide how far they’re willing to go to protect their city—and themselves.”

    The ensemble includes Malina Pauli Weissman, Tiffani Thiessen, Malachi Barton, Louis Thresher, Jordan Leftwich, Ora Duplass, Swayam Bhatia, Brian Bailey, and Brendon Tremblay. The show is produced by Federle, Kimberly McCullough, and Bronwyn North-Reist.

    Coven Academy premiered on Disney+ on October 1, 2026. Currently, the series holds a 100% Tomatometer score and a 77% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes.
