The appeal with Matt Wagner and Kelley Jones’ Dracula <a href="https://comicvibe.com/see-why-deicidium-returned-is-one-of-2026s-most-promising-new-graphic-novels/" title="See Why Deicidium Returned Is One of 2026's Most Promising New Graphic Novels“>graphic novels has always been clear. Two legendary creators joining forces to put a fresh spin on the unnaturally long life of Dracula? Sign us up. But all good things must come to an end. Wagner and Jones are teaming up one last time to wrap up their vampire saga in Dracula: Book IV – The Undead.

With the Kickstarter campaign for Dracula: Book IV – The Undead live now, IGN can exclusively debut the first five pages of this graphic novel. Check them out in the slideshow gallery below:

As with the previous volumes, Dracula: Book IV is with both providing cover art. The book is published through their Orlok Press label and, based on the first three volumes, will likely later be released in bookstores

Dracula: Book IV – The Undead is set after the events of Bram Stoker’s original novel. It turns out that Jonathan Harker and his allies weren’t quite thorough enough in dispatching their foe, allowing Dracula to rise from the grave and threaten the world once more.

“In the novel, Professor Van Helsing outlines very clearly how to destroy a vampire,” said Wagner in a statement. “And yet, in the exciting climax of the story, the British heroes don’t really use those prescribed methods to attack their foe. That discrepancy, combined with the fact that the sun is just about to set and thus restore Dracula to the full extent of his vampiric powers has provided us with the perfect opportunity to explore beyond the events of the original novel.”

“As always, I’m continually blown away by Kelley’s incredible art for these tales,” added Wagner. “I’m distinctly writing this saga with his graphic prowess always in mind…and yet he somehow always seems to draw each scene and moment even better than I had imagined. If Dracula did, indeed, survive the events of the original novel, what would be his response to the human enemies who so very nearly managed to end his centuries of evil dominion? Can anyone resist the vampire lord’s unholy vengeance? If their victory over his evil was only imaginary, then Dracula is truly…THE UNDEAD!”

The Kickstarter campaign for Dracula: Book IV – The Undead is live now. You can also find Amazon links to order the previous three volumes below:
