“South Park” – AKA “South America” – is tackling the AI conversation in its new episode.
The animated series is airing a new episode on Wednesday, Sept. 30, where Butters will show his dissatisfaction with data centers, according to a news release.
It’s the second episode of Season 29, which has seen the show undergo a name change in a marketing stunt aimed at at President Donald Trump.
Earlier this month, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced “South Park” would instead be known as “South America.”
The move jabs at Trump’s orders changing the names of the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America and Lake Ontario to Lake of America. “South Park” creators have long used the show to poke fun at the president and his policies.
When does ‘South Park’ new episode come out?
The new episode of “South Park” – or “South America” – comes out on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
The episode is titled “Billionaire Weenietown.” Per a news release, the log line is: “Butters is unhappy with the data centers that the billionaires are building in our backyards.”
How to watch ‘South America’ AKA ‘South Park’
The Emmy-winning series premieres on Comedy Central and can be streamed next day on Paramount+.
The streaming service has monthly or annual subscription plans to choose from. Its Essential plan, which includes ads, costs $8.99 per month or $89.99 for the year. The Premium plan, which does not have ads, is $13.99 per month or $139.99 per year.
