WWE Stars Transform Into Iconic Anime Characters for New Crossover

Several WWE stars are getting anime-inspired makeovers as part of a new crossover in WWE Champions.

Scopely has announced a limited-time collaboration between its WWE mobile game and Cowboy Bebop, bringing the beloved anime’s retro-futuristic world into the game.

The event, titled “Bounty by Moonlight,” began on September 28 and will run through October 4. It will allow players to enter the world of Cowboy Bebop while battling characters inspired by the anime.

The crossover will also see several WWE Superstars receive new gear based on Cowboy Bebop characters, giving players the opportunity to bring the anime-inspired versions of the wrestlers into the ring.

Trick Williams, Sol Ruca and Bray Wyatt get Cowboy Bebop-Inspired Gear

Trick Williams will receive gear inspired by Spike Spiegel, allowing players to use his “Trick Shot” with the Cowboy Bebop protagonist’s look.

Sol Ruca will take on the appearance of Faye Valentine, with her “Sol Snatcher” move also receiving an anime-inspired presentation.

The late Bray Wyatt is featured as Jet Black, the captain of the Bebop crew. The crossover includes special entrance and victory animations for unique character variants.

The event also introduces new rewards and gameplay opportunities. New players can use the promotional code “COWBOY” to unlock Trick Williams as a five-star Bronze character.

WWE Champions is no stranger to crossover events. The game previously featured WWE Superstars with appearances inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, while other collaborations have brought figures from outside the wrestling world into the game.
