KPU’s largest on-campus recruitment event happens Saturday, Oct. 3 in Newton.
An open house at Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Surrey campus runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 12666 72 Ave., Surrey, with free parking and free admission (register on kpu.ca/openhouse).
The event promises education program discovery, activities, tours, prizes, live entertainment and more. “It’s a great way to connect with faculty, alumni, students and staff, and explore the diverse and unique programs offered at the university,” says Dr. Diane Purvey, KPU president and vice-chancellor.
Radio station Rock 101 will broadcast live in the Maple building. Activities include caricature and henna artists, photo booth and roaming magician. Coca Cola Canada and Nando’s are event sponsors, and prizes include two $500 tuition waivers and BC Lions tickets.
Prospective students can apply for free during the open house, thanks to Vancity Cedar Hills branch covering application fees, with representatives from the Future Students’ Office and KPU International on hand to assist and answer questions.
At five campuses in Richmond, Surrey and Langley, KPU is home to more than 140 programs in business, arts, design, health, science, trades and technology, and academic and career preparation.
