Three weeks following the opening of Saudi Entertainment Ventures’ (SEVEN) landmark entertainment destination in Abha, Formula E today celebrates the flying start of Formula E Karting at SEVEN Abha – the first-ever karting attraction in the world to carry the prestigious Formula E name.
Located in the heart of the Aseer Region, Formula E Karting features as one of several entertainment zones within SEVEN Abha. This groundbreaking indoor karting experience is officially open, turning spectators into drivers and rapidly becoming a major hub for grassroots motorsport and family entertainment in the Kingdom.
Developed under an official license from Formula E, the attraction translates the championship’s sustainable racing DNA into an adrenaline-fueled, 428-meter indoor track. The venue boasts a cutting-edge fleet of adult, junior, and dual electric karts, navigating guests through highly immersive, technology-driven racing zones and multi-sensory lighting.
Off the track, visitors can explore interactive heritage displays tracing the rich history of Formula E’s drivers, teams, and technical innovations, alongside key environmental messages that reflect the sport’s founding purpose as a proving ground for electric vehicle (EV) performance.
This world-first attraction aligns seamlessly with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, enriching the quality of life for Saudi citizens and residents while cultivating a passionate, new generation of local motorsport talent. By placing this global first in Abha, Formula E and SEVEN are expanding premium leisure and sport experiences beyond major metropolitan hubs into the vibrant Aseer Region. Abha is the first of four SEVEN entertainment destinations in Saudi Arabia to feature a Formula E Karting attraction, with additional attractions already in development in Riyadh (Al Hamra), Dammam and Al Kharj.

The launch of Formula E Karting in Abha arrives at a historic moment for motorsport in the Kingdom. In just over three months, the pinnacle of electric racing will return to Saudi Arabia for the highly anticipated 2026/27 Season opener of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship on December 18 and 19, 2026.
For the very first time, the global season will kick off at the stunning Jeddah Corniche Circuit for Rounds 1 and 2, bringing spectacular night racing under the lights to the Red Sea coastline.
The weekend will mark the historic racing debut of Formula E’s revolutionary GEN4 car, which is motorsport’s fastest-accelerating single-seater (0-100kph in a breathtaking 1.8 seconds) and a pioneer in circular design, built from 100% recyclable or reusable materials.
Jeddah will also host the debut of the high-octane new ‘E-PrixUnleashed’ format; a 30-minute unrestricted performance-focused race, showcasing the raw 600kW (815hp) performance of the GEN4.
