VisionQuest is just a few weeks away from its October release. The Disney+ MCU series dropped a new teaser announcing the two-episode premiere, and it opens with a shoutout to WandaVision. Moreover, the very first character we see in this teaser is Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen as she creates Vision and the rest of the hex in WandaVision.
The last time we saw Olsen’s MCU character was in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. That movie ended with the supposed death of the Scarlet Witch, but fans are not convinced that she is gone for good.
The latest VisionQuest teaser has fans buzzing:
As mentioned earlier, the latest teaser makes it clear that the upcoming solo Vision series is a continuation of WandaVision and Agatha All Along. The solo series has been marketed as the conclusion of the “trilogy” kicked off by the very first MCU Disney+ show. The choice to open with a shot of Olsen’s Wanda has Reddit users discussing the character’s long-awaited return to the MCU.
One Reddit user called “No_Imagination_2490” put forth a theory stating that Marvel would not be teasing Wanda if they were not “planning to bring her back”:

Will Wanda return in the upcoming Disney+ series?
As of now it is unclear if she is returning to the MCU through the upcoming solo Vision series or not. Wanda’s appearance was teased in the first two episodes of Agatha All Along too. However, the Scarlet Witch did not appear in the series. Therefore, if she were to return, it would be with VisionQuest, the last entry in the WandaVision “Trilogy”.
Several Avengers: Doomsday leaks have suggested that Wanda would return to the MCU as one of the three Latverian Witches in Doom’s side. If it is indeed the case, VisionQuest could set this storyline up by bringing Wanda back in the finale.
What do we know about the solo Vision series?
Described as a sci-fi series, it seems that the show follows the “White” Vision after he flew away in the WandaVisionfinale. The promos have hinted that the solo series will follow Vision as he is hiding. However, things take a turn for Vision, as his son Tommy Maximoff returns as Thomas Shepard. The official logline of the series reads:
“Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron.”
“His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.”
