Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer Vvaan – Force of the Forrest opened in theatres with mixed reviews. The film is performing well at the box office during its first weekend.
According to trade reports, The Vvaan earned Rs 11.25 crore net in India across 6,887 shows on day 2. This brings total collections to Rs 19.25 crore net and Rs 22.90 crore gross in India.
The film is also performing well overseas and earned Rs 1.25 crore on day 2, pushing its total overseas gross to Rs 2.25 crore so far. The film earned Rs 25.15 crore gross worldwide.
The Vvaan opened in theatres, earning Rs 8 crore net in India, and saw a significant increase on its first Saturday. The film is expected to earn well during its first Sunday.
Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, The Vvaan is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a branch of Balaji Telefilms Ltd., in collaboration with TVF and 11.11 Production.
The film is backed by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari. The film was written by Arunabh Kumar and directed by Deepak Mishra, with Manu Anand serving as DOP and Visual Director.
The film promises a big-screen fantasy folklore experience where the visuals, music, mystery and scale come together to create a world audiences will want to step into.
The film follows a rational urban man who defies his ancestral village’s forbidden forest and awakens a divine goddess, forcing him to confront powers beyond logic as he becomes the unlikely saviour protecting his people from annihilation.
