FICCI FRAMES is set to return for its 26th edition on September 29 and 30, bringing together actors, filmmakers, media executives, policymakers and business leaders at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.
This year’s convention will revolve around the theme India’s Media Moment: Creating Value in an Age of Infinite Content, with discussions examining how India’s expanding media and entertainment industry can convert the abundance of content into sustainable value across films, television, streaming, sports, gaming, live entertainment and the creator economy.
Ayushmann Khurrana to address inaugural session
The inaugural session will feature addresses by Anant Goenka, President, FICCI, and Kevin Vaz, Chair, FICCI Media & Entertainment Committee and CEO, Entertainment, JioStar.
Ayushmann Khurrana, who serves as FICCI FRAMES Ambassador, will also deliver remarks at the opening.
Kevin Vaz said, “India’s media and entertainment industry is changing rapidly, driven by new forms of storytelling with audiences consuming content across multiple screens.”
He added, “FICCI FRAMES provides an opportunity for the people who create, build and lead this industry to come together and examine these changes from multiple perspectives.”

The 2026 edition will feature a large lineup of creative talent, including Ajay Devgn, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Rupali Ganguly, Ravi Kishan, Sunita Rajwar and Ranveer Brar.
Filmmakers Ashutosh Gowariker, Shoojit Sircar and Richie Mehta will also participate.
One of the major cinematic sessions will focus on the Drishyam franchise, bringing together Ajay Devgn, director Abhishek Pathak and producers Kumar Mangat Pathak and Alok Jain.
Another conversation will explore the next generation of Indian cinema with Rajkummar Rao and filmmaker Dinesh Vijan.
An episode of Dupahiya 2 by Amazon Prime Video will also be screened during the convention.
The business tracks will bring together several senior executives from India’s media ecosystem.
Participants include Punit Goenka of Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Gaurav Banerjee of Sony Pictures Networks India, Rahul Kanwal of NDTV, Ishan Chatterjee of JioStar, Gaurav Gandhi of Amazon Prime Video, Arjun Nowhar of Warner Bros. Discovery, Sanjog Gupta of ICC and Arun Srinivas of Meta India.
Producers Ekta Kapoor, Vipul Shah and Guneet Monga will also participate, alongside Apoorva Mehta, Deepak Dhar, Monika Shergill and Nikhil Madhok.
India’s media and entertainment industry reaches Rs 2.78 lakh crore
According to the FICCI-EY Media & Entertainment Report released in March 2026, India’s media and entertainment sector grew 9 per cent in 2025 to Rs 2.78 lakh crore.
The industry directly employs around 2.75 million people and is projected to reach Rs 3.3 lakh crore by 2028.
Over the years, FICCI FRAMES has also developed platforms such as the FICCI-EY Media & Entertainment Report, Best Animated FRAMES Awards and Frame Your Idea, which has facilitated more than 5,000 curated meetings between emerging writers and producers or platforms.
Focus on streaming, sports and content monetisation
The two-day convention will examine the changing economics of entertainment, live sports broadcasting, the relationship between streaming and linear television, emerging technologies and new models for content monetisation.
The larger focus will remain on how creators, businesses, platforms and policymakers can collectively shape the next phase of India’s creative economy.
