Ranbir Kapoor has finally arrived in the world of ‘Love & War’, and the first look is anything but calm. There is a blood-stained sleeve, a bullet mark on his shirt and an intense stare. The actor’s first official poster from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited film has set the tone for the epic drama.
The poster was unveiled on Thursday, giving fans their first official glimpse of Ranbir’s character. Along with his rugged appearance, the poster carries the line, “Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon!” It also confirms that the film will reach cinemas on January 21, 2027.

Ranbir is seen in a serious and battle-ready avatar in the poster. A bullet mark can be seen on his shirt, while one sleeve appears stained with blood. The look suggests that his character will be caught in the middle of the film’s war setting.
The poster also carries the release announcement and features the names of Ranbir, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. ‘Love & War’ will be released worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
The first look arrives soon after the film completed its shoot. The project has now entered post-production as Bhansali and his team prepare it for its January 2027 theatrical release.
From Christmas 2025 to January 2027
‘Love & War’ has already gone through multiple release-date changes. The film was first announced for Christmas 2025. Its release was later pushed to March 20, 2026.
The makers eventually announced January 21, 2027 as the new release date. The film is now set for a worldwide theatrical release on that date.
Directed by Bhansali, ‘Love & War’ brings Ranbir, Alia and Vicky together as the lead trio. The film has been described as an epic romantic drama set against the backdrop of war.
