Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue Lands in Fortnite on September 22

In celebration of the Toy Story 5 Disney+ premiere on <a href="https://comicvibe.com/demon-slayer-infinity-castle-part-2-could-have-a-september-2027-release-date/” title=”Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Could Have a September 2027 Release Date”>September 23, Disney and Pixar are bringing the magic of Toy Story to Fortnite with the launch of Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue, a two-week limited-time activation running September 22-October 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM PT.

As Disney continues to build new and unique experiences within Fortnite, Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue marks the first time Disney and Pixar have connected a Disney-branded adventure across multiple participating creator-made islands in Fortnite.

At the heart of the experience is an island inspired by the film. It takes place in Bonnie’s imagination where a Fortnite rift opens, scattering toys across the Fortnite ecosystem into other creator-made islands.

Players can explore Bonnie’s imagination — a persistent home base rendered in toy height, where everyday furniture becomes a sprawling terrain to explore and hidden “imaginary” spaces reveal fantastic worlds. From there, players take on a mission of tracking down six missing toys across creator-made islands: Jessie, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Hamm, and Forky, and returning them to Bonnie’s room.

Each creator-made island offers a unique gameplay experience and Toy Story-themed rewards: track down a stash of paperclips and rescue Forky; collect coins to help find Hamm; gather all the crayons and return them to Woody by competing in two-person squads; bring Rex back by repairing a necklace; collect Bullseye’s horseshoes to return Jessie; or climb, leap, and outmaneuver rivals and secure batteries to send Buzz Lightyear back to Bonnie’s room.

Toy Story 5 begins streaming September 23, reuniting iconic characters, introducing families to a new generation of toys, and bringing the next chapter of Toy Story to viewers at home.
