NYC is Getting a Brand New K-Culture Expo: How to Get KPEX Tickets Today

A massive new cultural event is officially heading to New York City! LeftField Media, the team behind powerhouse fan events like Anime NYC and Awesome Con, has announced KPEX: Korean Pop Culture Expo, set to debut over Memorial Day Weekend from May29–31,2027, at the Javits Center.

Described as a “comic con for the Hallyu Generation,” KPEX aims to unite fans across the spectrum of Korean <a href="https://comicvibe.com/banijay-entertainment-brings-back-romance-with-nordisk-film-tvs-date-knight/” title=”Banijay Entertainment Brings Back Romance with Nordisk Film TV’s Date Knight”>entertainment, including K-Pop, K-Dramas, K-Comics, K-Gaming, K-Food, and K-Beauty.

On September 14, KPEX revealed convention pricing and event detailsvention tickets will launch ahead of concert tickets at 12:00 PM Eastern on Friday, September 18th. Staggering the launch gives musical guests time to be announced before attendees buy concert passes

Convention tickets offer access to panels, screenings, workshops, autograph sessions, the exhibit hall, the food hall, and the artist alley. Note that a convention pass does not include concert access; attendees must hold both a convention and a concert ticket to attend the evening performances.

Convention tickets are currently listed at “Founders Prices” and will increase to general pricing in March 2027:

• Saturday: $50
• Sunday: $50
• Monday: $40
• 3-Day Pass: $105
• VIP Pass: $350

VIP tickets include full convention access alongside perks such as VIP lounge entry, priority entrance, dedicated lines for main stage and panel rooms, early access to concert ticket sales, official after-party access, and more. Check out the full list of perks here.

Star-Studded Organizers and Massive Scale

The new event brings together an unprecedented team of live event industry heavyweights: Greg Topalian (Co-creator of New York Comic Con), Robert Khoo (Co-creator of PAX) and Peter Tatara (Co-creator of Anime NYC).

Building off the massive success of Anime NYC—which just welcomed a record 172,000 attendees to the Javits Center—LeftField Media is applying its proven formula to the rapidly expanding world of Korean culture.

KPEX will feature over 100 hours of dynamic programming across the three-day weekend:

Nightly Concerts: Showstopping live performances featuring top musical artists traveling directly from Seoul to NYC.
Interactive Programming: Panels, premiere screenings, hands-on workshops, and official autograph sessions with Korean stars.
Massive Expo Floor. A curated marketplace offering direct access to Korean beauty, fashion, food, comics, and exclusive merchandise.
B2B Opportunities: Side-by-side business tracks designed to connect Korean creators and companies with Western industry executives.

KPEX is debuting with powerful backing from key industry players, including:

Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA): The governmental agency dedicated to expanding South Korean content globally.
Ize Press: The premier US publisher behind smash-hit Korean comics and web novels such asSolo Leveling and Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.

Cultural Agencies: Partnerships with cultural agencies Infinitize and IW Group to ensure authentic community representation.
