Another major game release has taken place on Nintendo Switch 2 with Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Now that it’s been out for a few days, we want to hear your thoughts.

I can understand the criticism that there were a lot of ports multiplat gamers wouldn’t necessarily care about. But also, where else are they going to announce/show them? And, more importantly, did you see the rest of the show!?
New MercuryStream Metroid only a few months away and open-world Kirby just a few more months later should be all it took to delight Nintendo fans. Layton’s got a date. Yo-Kai Watch is back. Bloober’s game is fascinating. The Overcooked team is back. METAL SLUG! Plus more S2 editions and Star Fox Adventures (shoulda been Assault, though).
I’m astonished anyone came away from that Direct thinking it was anything less than pretty good.
I don’t know how people went in with high expectations when they aired the Zelda Direct the day earlier, which was the crown jewel. That said Metroid Ravenous is looking to be great. A perfect continuation of Samus’ character after Dread. The trailer was great and I’m pretty hyped. I do hope they take the criticism of Dread into mind thought and put some more exploration back in and give the music alittle more love this time.
I thought that it was really good. I would say that Ravenous was my highlight and Kirby. I was glad that there were some surprises I felt like and overall it was good. That direct personally I would say was a solid B or A-.
I’ve been wanting an open-world Kirby game for about 10 years. The Direct didn’t show a whole lot of it, so I’ll reserve judgement on how well it’s been realised, but just the fact they’ve given it a go is a dream come true and it’s the sort of reveal that we get excited for Directs for. Coupling it with a 2D Metroid reveal is just smashing it out of the ground.
