Let the Mario speculation begin

For quite some time now, Nintendo fans have been wondering when the company is going to reveal the next big Mario game. There have been plenty of Mario spin-offs and side games in recent years, but we haven’t seen a new fully 3D outing since Oct. 2017. With patience wearing thin, some Mario diehards are snooping around every virtual corner to see what Nintendo’s up to, and that’s resulted in an artwork discovery.
Without any fanfare from Nintendo themselves, it appears the company is has been working on a new set of Mario renders, along with a slightly updated version of the Super Mario logo. We’re talking about minor updates that only the most trained eyes could spot (check out those new pockets on Mario!), but it’s an update nonetheless.
We’re not sure what’s prompted Nintendo to spruce up their Mario renders, but perhaps they’re getting some housekeeping out of the way in order to prepare for an announcement. While we keep all fingers and toes crossed for that, you can see a gallery of the updated artwork below. (h/t Stealth40k)
