Welcoming a boy to the family is special for Mauricio Umansky.
Indeed, the Buying Beverly Hillsstar—who has raised four girls with RHOBH‘s Kyle Richards—is over the moon that stepdaughter Farrah Aldjufrie‘s pregnancy with Zach Goldsmith is making his dream of having a grandson a reality and praised his eldest’s blossoming relationship.
“First boy in the family, so we’re super excited,” Mauricio exclusively told E! News at the Special Forces: World’s Toughest Testseason five red carpet ahead of the Sept. 24 premiere on Fox. “Grandpa, I’m thrilled. I’m so excited about it, and yeah, we got a boy.”
And the 56-year-old was so overjoyed about the baby announcement, coinciding with his debut on the competition series alongside daughter Alexia Umansky, that he couldn’t help but muse about his unborn grandchild’s future on reality TV.
As he put it, “Maybe I’ll be the first person on Special Forces with the grandpa-grandson situation.”

As such, the Agency CEO—also dad to Sophia, 26, and Portia, 18, with Kyle—had nothing but praise for Zach as he enters parenthood with Farrah, calling the Agency realtor a “great father.”
“Thumbs up for Zach, 100 percent,” Mauricio said, adding, “We love him.”
Indeed, Alexia also had kind words to share about her older sister’s new relationship, which started out with Farrah and Zach both working for Mauricio as coworkers. The 37-year-old hard-launched her romance with Zach by sharing a video of their gender reveal in August.
“I love, love, love Zach. He’s always been a ray of light. He makes us laugh. He’s so caring,” the 30-year-old effused. “Definitely a major seal of approval.”
In addition to noting Zach and Farrah are a “funny pair” who know how to have a “great time,” Alexia remarked that she was also thrilled about welcoming the “first baby in the family since Portia, my little sister.”
