Paul Bettany has teased a ‘surplus’ of MCU easter eggs in VisionQuest. The actor will reprise his role as Vision in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series. He also teased familiar MCU cameos, along with several surprises and major reveals.
In an interview with <a href="https://comicvibe.com/digital-media-music-culture-and-the-growth-of-online-entertainment-coverage-in-new-zealand/” title=”Digital Media, Music Culture, and the Growth of Online Entertainment Coverage in New Zealand”>Entertainment Tonight, Bettany confirmed that the series will feature plenty of Easter eggs. He said, “There will be a surplus of Easter eggs.” He then revealed that his own outfit featured hidden Easter eggs, joking that viewers could “zoom in on the image” to spot them.
The interviewer then asked Bettany about cameos from familiar MCU characters. Bettany confirmed that the series will feature them. However, he did not confirm whether Olsen will reprise her role as Wanda. Bettany said, “That is at this point a matter of secrecy.” He added that the answer is “secret even to me.”
The actor also teased “other surprises” and “other big reveals” in the series. He described the story as “really compelling and entertaining,” suggesting that the show will have more than just MCU references for fans to discover.
What is Marvel’s VisionQuest show about?
VisionQuest will continue Vision’s story following the events of WandaVision. The series centers on the character as he deals with questions surrounding his identity and searches for answers about his existence.
Bettany’s Vision played a central role in WandaVision. After the original Vision died in Avengers: Infinity War, Wanda created a new version of him using her powers. S.W.O.R.D. later rebuilt Vision’s body as White Vision, who regained his memories before leaving Westview.
The new series will explore what happens to Vision after those events. James Spader will also return as Ultron, the artificial intelligence villain from Avengers: Age of Ultron. The cast also includes Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Emily Hampshire, and James D’Arcy.
Terry Matalas serves as the creator and showrunner of the series. VisionQuest will be the third part of Marvel’s TV trilogy, following WandaVision and Agatha All Along.
VisionQuest will premiere on Disney+ on October 14, 2026.
