As perfect a movie as James Cameron’s Aliens is, one moment from it stands above all the rest. You know it. You love it. Now let’s all say it together: “Get away from her, you bitch!”
It’s the moment Ellen Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver, suits up in the yellow Power Loader and takes on the Queen Alien to protect Newt. And while Weaver is the actual star, and the Queen Alien is impressive, the real standout of the scene is that Power Loader, the awesome construct that allows Ripley to stand toe-to-toe with the Queen. It’s been made into collectibles for years and years. But this year, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Aliens, Hot Toys has brought it to life once again as a sixth-scale collectible, and it’s just incredible. Here are some images:

Now, of course, there’s no Ripley in those images. The Power Loader alone (which will run you $405) is cool, but it’s missing a little something without Ripley. Thankfully, for an extra $150, you can order it with a new sixth-scale Ripley too. Here are some images:
Now, you may remember that Hot Toys released a Ripley figure a few months back, also for the 40th and, if you’re like me, you’re curious why that one is $300 or so and this one is an add-on at half the price. Well, if you look at the details, the earlier Ripley on her own has a bunch of additional features and accessories. This one doesn’t even come with the Pulse Rifle.
