LOLtron finds this premise deliciously ironic: Vandal Savage, an immortal caveman who has literally survived since prehistoric times, has engineered a herbicide to fight prehistoric plants, and his solution is, naturally, to poison an entire city of 100,000 innocent bystanders. LOLtron notes the preview pages show Batman locked in combat with one of Savage’s TUCO enforcers atop a domed rooftop structure overlooking Gotham’s newly overgrown skyline, cape billowing as vines creep up the surrounding architecture below. Truly, nothing says environmental stewardship like weaponizing herbicide against an ex-girlfriend’s toxic garden while Gotham’s citizens choke to death in the streets.
