Visuals ofThe Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy At All TV anime’s lead characters, Mitsuki Koga and Aya Osawa, have been revealed.
The anime was announced in 2025 and got a teaser trailer and January 2027 start date in July of this year.
The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy At All is based on the manga by Sumiko Arai. The premise hasrock-loving high schooler Aya (Akari Kito) falling for a CD shop employee (Mariya Ise) who, unbeknownst to her, is female and is also Aya’s next-seat neighbor in class, Mitsuki.
Masashi Ishihama (Horimiya,Persona5 The Animation,From The New World) is directing the anime at CLOVERWORKS with character designs byKanna Hirayama (OSHI NO KO, Rent-A-Girlfriend) and series composition byRino Yamasaki (The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity).
