The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), which serves as the host organisation for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026 has appointed DAAR Communications Plc, owners of Independent Television (AIT), Raypower FM, and Faaji FM as Official Special Broadcast Partner in Culture, Tourism and Entertainment for the event scheduled to hold from 15th — 21st November, 2026.
The appointment allows DAAR to through its broadcast platforms deliver culture, tourism, lifestyle, and entertainment-focused coverage and programming of the WPRF that is expected to have 3,000 delegates from across 126 countries, who are member nations of Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
Speaking at a ceremony in Abuja for the official signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku described DAAR family as a long-standing partner of the Institute, stressing that the media organisation’s root in African culture positions it for a prominent role for the WPRF, which he said is a huge reputational project for Nigeria and the continent.
“We have curated unique programmes that will highlight our true identity as a people of rich cultural heritage during the WPRF. We are setting up the Nigeria Experience Zone where our international guests will experience the greatness of our country in our delicacies, culture and entertainment. Our jollof rice festival will feature prominently so that after the Forum, our guests will be the ones to testify to who we are as a people”, he stated.
The Chief Executive Officer of DAAR Communications, Dr. Marcel Anyalechi, in his remarks congratulated NIPR for its efforts in attracting the week-long event to Nigeria, expressing hope that it will have a significant impact on the nation’s economy and global reputation rating.
“For us in DAAR Communications, we see this as our project because NIPR is part of this family. We have always stood by any project that will positively showcase the image of Nigeria before the global stage. The WPRF offers us opportunity to do that again. We are determined to offer our services to ensure the success of the Forum”, he stated.
