Too real for SRK
Tigmanshu Dhulia and Arshad Warsi
In a recent interview, Ghamasaan director Tigmanshu Dhulia revealed that he had Shah Rukh Khan in mind for the role of an STF officer, eventually played by Pratik Gandhi, but the superstar politely declined. Recalling his conversation with Shah Rukh, Tigmanshu said the King actor told him, “Yaar Tishu, main iss tarah ki realistic pictures nahin karta hoon yaar.” Having worked with SRK since Dil Se (1998), Tigmanshu took the rejection in his stride. Arshad Warsi, who plays the dacoit in the film, seems to agree with SRK’s decision. The actor said he prefers to see the superstar as Tom Cruise. “That poor guy, if he does anything realisitic then I will have a problem,” added Arshad in an interview. Fair enough, everyone has their preferred version of the Badshah of Bollywood.
