David Harbour is happy to be working with Millie Bobby Brown again!
After the epic conclusion of Stranger Things, the 51-year-old actor and the 22-year-old actress are set to reunite as father and daughter in a new spy thriller series from Adolescence‘s Jack Thorne.
Immediately after winning his first Emmy at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday night (September 6), David spoke with E! News about the new series, joking that he and Millie “can’t get enough” of each other.
“I go anywhere in the world and people know the relationship of Hopper and Eleven,” David said of his and Millie‘s Stranger Things characters. “There’s something about that I thought was so special.”
After Stranger Things came to an end in 2025 after five seasons, David said that he still “wanted to use the building blocks of the dynamic between me and her” to explore other stories and “build something that was really unique and original.”
“It really is a working relationship, where we love what we bring out in each other,” he continued. “You’re in service of a greater story, and we both know how to do that and think about that and talk about that.”
David added, “I love what we have together and I love to be able to see her on a daily basis.”

In addition, Davidand Millieare executive producing the project, alongside Millie‘s husband, Jake Bongiovi,and her father, Robert Brown, through her production company, PCMA Productions.
David further teased the upcoming series in his new interview, saying, “It’s very unexpected and we’ve come up with something that I’m very very proud of. We’ve gotten two scripts in already and I’m really, really excited about it.”
The new series comes after an unverified report claimed Millie accused David of harassment and bullying ahead of filming Stranger Things season five.
