After making its first global appearance, the Huawei Watch 6 series is unveiled in China with an additional model – Pro. The new wearable series unlocks enhanced X-TAP technology alongside upgraded specifications and some other changes.
Let’s check what has changed in the China-launched Huawei Watch 6 series over its global siblings.
Starting with the design, the standard variant follows the same look as its predecessor, with a flat screen. It has a slimmer design – 10.2mm for the 42mm variant and 10.9mm for the 46mm variant than the previous-gen model.
The Pro also follows the same measurements. However, both models differ in looks. On the other hand, Watch 6 Pro adopts a Ceramic Edition for female customers (42mm) and a rich black Space Edition for male customers in a dual-tone bezel design.

Features: Huawei has launched a wrist-mounted HarmonyOS AI assistant for the Watch 6 series. It brings voice navigation, where users can perform various tasks by just commanding the smartwatch. For instance, one can make:
- Voice Payment
- Voice Control Home
- Diet Entry
- Ask questions related to any subject
- Record voice for medication plan
The next feature is Celia Suggestion that allows you to quickly manage some tasks. You can schedule meetings, check reminders, play music, and more in just one click.
Smart Window for Micro Health Checkup
Watch 6 series supports a micro health checkup smart window that takes a 60-second body assessment along with 20 health indicators to check your health accurately. The feature shows all metrics related to sleep, ECG, mood, and more. It also has a physical readiness feature revealing how well you are at present.
Battery – Watch 6 series has two modes: Standard and Battery Saver. It can run for 4.5 days (3 days with AOD) for the 46mm standard and Pro models and 3 days (2 days with AOD) for the 43mm/42mm variants in the standard mode.
Meanwhile, the day counts change to 7 days for 42 or 43mm (5 days in typical use and 3 days with AOD) variants, and 11 days for 46mm (7 days in typical use and 4.5 days with AOD) models.
Charging the wearable for 15 minutes can power it up for the entire day – thanks to the Huawei Watch wireless supercharger (2nd-generation with USB-C).
