Alix Earle is using her new Netflix reality show, “Earle Meets World,” to break her silence on the alleged falling out between her and “Call Her Daddy” host Alex Cooper.
Earle rose to fame in 2020 when she began posting“Get Ready With Me” content. Since then, Earle’s platform has amassed over 8 million TikTok followers, and she’s also launched a skincare company.
In 2023, Earle also signed a podcast deal with Cooper’s media company, The Unwell Network. But Earle and her podcast were dropped in early 2025. No reasoning was given beyondofficial statements from reps. The internet suspected a possible rift between the two, and evidence was given during some social media exchanges in spring of this year.
Earle, speaking to TODAY.com ahead of the show’s release, says the “social media storm” surfaced during the last month of filming “Earle Meets World.”
“It just kind of naturally got brought up, and was a natural thing happening in my life, and we decided to just lean into it,” Earle says.
What Happened Between Alex Cooper and Alix Earle?
That’s the thing: It wasn’t exactly clear. The business relationship severed in 2025, and then began a series of posts that appeared to be directed at each other into the following year.
On April 11, 2026, Earle reposted a video on TikTok in which one user called Cooper “an ambulance chaser.”
Cooper then addressed the situation head-on in a TikTok on April 13.
“Hi guys. You guys know I don’t usually address this kind of stuff because it feels like a waste of time, and honestly it’s embarrassing to participate in this,” Cooper said. “But I am obviously seeing the videos, I’m getting tagged, I see the DMs, I see the comments, so at this point it just feels long overdue.
“Alix Earle, hey girl, the passive-aggressive reposts and the likes and the commenting on things, I gotta call you out here,” she added.
Until recently, Earle had been tight-lipped.
She replied to Earle’s videowith a comment that said, “Ok on it!!” Then, when shestopped by TODAY in May, Craig Melvin asked about the “beef.” Earle said the drama was “exaggerated” online.
The Netflix show gives a behind-the-scenes look at how Earle chose to respond and what she said.
In Episode 1 of “Earle Meets World,” Earle’s father, TJ Earle, who is also her manager, brings up the situation.
“You at some point are obligated to set the record straight,” he told her. “The question is, ‘When’s the right time?’ ‘When and where?’”
What Does Alix Earle Say About the Rift in the Netflix Show?
Here’s what Earle said about two of the main aspects of her relationship with Cooper: Earle’s “Call Her Daddy” appearance in 2023 and the rift with Unwell.

‘Call Her Daddy’ Episode
In conversation with her “dadager” in the premiere episode, Earle said she feels Cooper betrayed her and took advantage of her position of power as an older, more established creator when she invited her on “Call Her Daddy.”
“That was on my dream board for years, I was like, ‘Yay!’ It felt very personal, like she was going to be an older sister and look out for me. So it was a really exciting time for me,” Earle said in Episode 1. “She sold me on a dream that she was going to protect me and look out for me, and I feel like she took advantage of my admiration of her.”
When Earle appeared on “Call Her Daddy,” she spoke in detail about topics like her sex life, which she said she wasn’t “comfortable” with.
“From the start, I didn’t realize things were going wrong because I was obsessed with her. This is my idol. I’m so happy to work with her,” Earle said in the finale. “Then, I constantly felt taken advantage of and used and mistreated and manipulated. We were filming her podcast and she’s having us drink before and asking me really sexual questions I wasn’t comfortable with, but I’m also answering because I’m drunk.”
She also spoke about father’s very public affair with Ashley Dupré,now his wife, and how it affected the whole family. Dupré, in Episode 3, addressed the podcast directly.
“It bought up so many things from my past and my family’s past. It was so embarrassing for me to go through all that,” she said. “For conversations that I have to have with my little kids, to their parents seeing it … to relive all those traumas really took its toll on me.”
Dupré and Earle had a heart-to-heart at the end of the episode, revealing the toll the episode took on the family. Earle said the family group chat was deleted and they needed therapy to start talking again.
The Unwell Breakup
In the season finale, Earle gave her side of what went wrong with their professional partnership and the podcast deal.
“They were a startup company at the time, so things weren’t going to go great, but there were just constantly issues,” she said. “It wasn’t run properly and it wasn’t what I was promised or told that it was going to be like working with them.”

So you have the show, the revenue coming in from the show, and then the expenses get taken out of the revenue, and what’s leftover is your profit, which gets split between Alix and Unwell. There was no expenses because they had Alix doing everything,” he said.
Later in the “Earle Meets World” finale, Earle asked Dupré and her father for advice on a text she drafted to send to Cooper. She read the lengthy text word-for-word.
“I wanted to write you directly and let you know I don’t like you. I’m not going to fall for your bait of getting into a back-and-forth online and I don’t think you want that either. You are manipulative and toxic. Go ahead and say ‘it’s just business’ all you want, but the way you approach business is disgusting,” Earle read. “You choose money over morals. You took advantage of me at a young age in a new industry I knew nothing about. You are full of false promises, and Unwell was a continuation of that.”
In the text, Earle also said Cooper threatened her once things went south.
“We had a call where you threatened me to not go to war with you, because you know how sick and twisted you are,” Earle said. “Go ahead, share this, use it against me, but you will no longer scare or trap me. You’re right, I may be petty, but I’m not malicious. If there’s one thing I learned from doing business with you, it’s to never do business with anyone like you.”
Why Alix Earle Is Opening Up Now
Earle explains to TODAY.com what went into the decision to ultimately not only include the situation, but to go as far as reading the text message to the world.
“I was, like, you know what? This is the reality and the things going on in my life. I didn’t want to put out a show where we’re skipping over a chunk of time because I wanted to hold myself back. I think being able to have the cameras there and see my family supporting me, you don’t really get to see that online.”
Earle looks at “Earle Meets World” as a chance for her followers to get a closer look at how her familial support system comes into play when pressing post is not so easy.
“It’s a little stressful sometimes when you’re dealing with something like that, at that scale, it’s not so easy to upload and post something,” Earle says. “So I think it really shows how my family’s there to support me in those decisions, even when I’m, like, spiraling, and I’m not sure what to do.”
Now that she’s spoken up, she’s ready to move on.
“I don’t even think it’s really about, like, giving a definitive answer, or getting into it like a ‘he said, she said,’ or like, point by point,” Earle says. “I said my piece, and I have closed that chapter.”
