Maneater 2 is in development for Nintendo Switch 2, Tripwire Interactive and Demiurge Studios just revealed. The game launches in 2027.
This is a sequel to the “ShaRkPG” that previously came to the original Nintendo Switch back in 2021. As a shark, players will be tasked with trying to escape an invite-only preview event for Neptune’s Kingdom—an ultra-luxury seaside theme park.
First details can be found in the following overview:
Do as the Romans do. Kick off your sandals and enjoy a utensil-free dining experience. Featuring five-star global cuisine, wild-caught locally from the bustling marine ecosystem throughout the park grounds! Including pufferfish, jumbo crab, piranha, grouper, and more. Make sure to try the human—it melts in your mouth.
The open world is your oyster. Take in the monumental architecture, make a killing on a thrill ride, grab a snack at Mojitodale, discover secrets lurking in the depths, and splatter it all with the blood of your prey.
Neptune’s Kingdom’s marine research and conservation efforts aren’t just a great corporate tax break, but they’re good for other stuff too. What if humanity could provide the ecosystem with genetically modified tools to protect itself? With five different genetic modifications under their belt already, the park’s industry-leading bioengineers are pushing the ethical boundaries of science daily.
Behind Neptune’s Kingdom’s lavish facade is a disaster waiting to happen. And YOU are that disaster. It’s time to tip the scales in nature’s favor. Mount an attempt to escape this fortress of scientific malpractice and corporate greed and leave a trail of blood and fire in your wake—all with the dubious help of disgraced reality TV host/narrator, Trip Westhaven (Chris Parnell).
